Puppy Training

Start your puppy off on the right paw with our comprehensive puppy training program. We'll teach them essential commands, socialization skills, boundaries and many more.

Puppy training can be on a 1-1 basis, however if you are interested in a 6 week puppy class, we work very closely and assist at Absolute K-9's classes.

Basic Obedience

Build a strong foundation of obedience with our basic obedience training. We'll work on commands such as sit, stay, touch, normal and loose lead walking and many more.

Behaviour Modification

Address problem behaviours with our behaviour modification program. We'll assess the root cause of the behaviour and design a personalized training plan to help your dog overcome it.

Pet First Aid Workshops

Our pet first aid workshops offer the expertise to give you the knowledge and competency to put pet first aid into practice. Our workshops are a Level 3 workshop with certification valid for 3 years. Our workshops are acknowledged by the CPD office and our workshops will give you 5CPD hours. The topics covered are as followed:

- Bleeds - Cuts - Fractures - Seizures - Shock - Hypo & Hyper Thermia - Poisons - Choking - CPR (on dummy dog)

- Bandaging (on dummy dog)

What training methods do you use?

We use positive reinforcement training methods that reward desired behaviors rather than punishing unwanted ones. This approach is proven to be effective and promotes a strong bond between you and your dog.

How long does a training program last?

The duration of a training program depends on your dog's individual needs and the desired outcome. We will assess your dog and provide you with a personalized training plan, including an estimated timeline.

Can you help with aggressive dogs?

Yes, we specialize in working with dogs exhibiting aggressive behaviors. Our trainers have experience in behavior modification and will create a training plan tailored to your dog's specific needs.

Do you have Insurance?

Our Trainers are fully insured. Our insurance certificate is available to view should this be asked for.

Are You Qualified?

Our Trainers have studied intensely and having to pass a final assessment we are certified dog trainers with the initals DTC - CDT to our names. We continue to develop our training and skillset by continuing our CPD hours.

Where does the training take place?

1-1 training is held initially at the clients home address, so we are not setting your dog up to fail; the clients home is a low distraction area. Than, through the session's we will move to higher distraction areas like local parks (local to the client).

Are Your puppy programmes, 1-1's or classes?

We offer 1-1 sessions to ensure we are able to provide your dog with our undivided attentio. For dogs exhibiting bahaviours like over excitement or highly distracted, we find this enables us to see positive results fast. However we do appreciate that, for many reasons, some may be looking for group sessions than we work closely and assist with Absolute K-9 in their puppy classes.
